SFB 1177 IRTG retreat in Kloster Schöntal
From 12.-14.11 around 30 early-career researchers of SFB 1177 gathered for three intensive days at Kloster Schöntal . This year, two SFB 1177 project leaders, Ivan Đikić and Gerhard Hummer, have been named as Highly Cited Researchers, recognizing their outstanding influence in the life sciences. The project “DegrAbility: On the Degradability of Protein Aggregates by Autophagy” , led by SFB 1177 PI Claudine Kraft (University of Freiburg), together with James Hurley (UC Berkeley) and Sascha Martens (University of Vienna), has been awarded a prestigious €10 million ERC Synergy Grant.
