From 12.-14.11 around 30 early-career researchers of SFB 1177 gathered for three intensive days at Kloster Schöntal. The retreat provided an excellent opportunity for personal exchange, in-depth project discussions, and generating new ideas for future research.

A highlight of the retreat were the two workshops, in which the participants engaged with great enthusiasm. Storytelling for Scientists, led by Karin Bodewits, provided the participants with practical techniques to communicate their research more clearly and engagingly. In the workshop Project Management, Negotiation & Conflict Management, Felix Richter from Piri-Piri Consulting introduced the participants to effective methods for managing projects efficiently, negotiating successfully, and handling conflicts constructively.

The IRTG Retreat once again demonstrated the value of personal exchange and targeted training for our early-career researchers. With renewed energy, strengthened networks, and many inspiring ideas, we look forward to the upcoming projects within SFB 1177.
